900S Battery problem - revisited

I discovered why my '96 900S battery was flat: the trunk lid was not quite closed.
After removing the battery (completely dead - measured 0.17 Volts!), I measured the resistance between the +ve and -ve leads ... it was around 1 Ohm. I then shut the trunk lid properly, and the resistance rose slowly to aroun 2000 Ohms (looks like a capacitor is charging up).
I have now removed the bulb from the trunk light holder ...
My question is: what resistance should I see between the +ve and -ve battery terminals, when the vehicle is parked? I'm seeing about 2000 Ohms. I'd expect some power is needed for the alarm, radio, et cetera, but this still seems a bit low.
I'd be most grateful for advice.
Thanks!
Julian
