I assume that you know that only the toe can be adjusted on these cars (struts are fixed mount), so what were the camber numbers showing on the when the did the alignment (dealer right?)
If they've been curbed and are slightly bent it will do what you say no matter how good the tires are, and will just cause more problems later - the camber could just be a little out and of course they don't want to split for new radius arms or tie rod ends on a low mileage car and loose their profit! (they squeeze in your alignment under minimal labor)
Since it sounds like the dealer has made his stash and wants to move on, I would have it checked at independent machine (get #'s from the dealer first) and see if the camber is off. Since it's only front end you need (rear axle not likely out of camber even with curb) get a 29.99 special on a new machine somewhere that knows what they're doing -
If it comes out perfect, then the tires could be at fault, but the more pairs of tires you put on with no effect though just proves it otherwise...
