Check your trans fluid level, mine was low and I was stalling the first 15-20 mins. of my drive to and from work. My commute is stop and go traffic for the first and last 12 mins. out of 50 mins. to and from work. I was stalling after the car either sat overnight or all day at work, but once it warmed up (and the fluid warmed and the level went up) it would be fine. It was stalling going up hills and at low rpm's. I had it at the shop and they changed the crankshaft position sensor a couple of weeks ago and that seemed to fix it but only for a week. I took it back and they couldn't figure it out (non-Saab dealer) so I brought it home to figure out for myself. Last night I decided to check the transmission fluid level and found it was almost one quart low. Went to Autozone and spent $1.93 on a quart of Dexron III and it ran just fine today. It hesitated on me once pulling a hill at full throttle on the way home, but I think that is another issue. By the way, I have a '99 9-3 base automatic w/ 83K miles. Sorry this was long, but I hope it helps. Good luck.
