Below is a couple of suggestions from people with the same problem.

If your radio only display ----- you need to push and hold the "band" button until you get the message "code" back in the window.


I have been fighting with this radio code since I made the mistake of disconnecting my battery to clean the connections, over a week ago. I tried in vane for several days to enter the code in the manual. Then I called a dealer to verify the code. Each time I would enter the code I would just get ---- and no radio. I did the holding of the "Band" button and I tried many times waiting the hour with system on, before trying again. Finally, I discovered that there is a fuse called "radio diagnostics" I removed it and replaced it and Bingo, it worked. Maybe, this will help someone else.

Don't know if it will help, but a while back someone posted that there were two fuses related to the radio. One is marked 'radio' (#11) and the other (#13) is marked 'radio/diagnostics'. These are located very close to each other. Each time I interrupt power to the radio I have to pull both before the code-in will accept the entry.

**Warning: I pulled a fuse once that took out the diagnostics for the instrument panel and the SRS light stayed on until the dealer reset it. Look in the book to make sure that #13 isn't related to the SRS.
