My 2001 9-3SE started giving off a mildew smell from the heating vents about two years ago. The dealer has replaced the fresh air filter and sprayed some kind of antiseptic into the vents on three different occassions. This eliminates the smell for a few months, then it comes back. They don't seem to know what to do next. Has anyone had this problem and solved it? Is it possible that there is something growing on the AC coil, and that they need to expose the coil to clean it properly?
