1999 SAAB 9-3
Recently replaced my DI cassette and my cel came on after about fifty or so miles, but went off in about twenty more miles the cel went off. Recently it just came back on, and it looks like it's hear to stay this time. I haven't pulled the codes yet, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me a possible problem...my situation: I didn't replace my spark plugs and I know they haven't been replaced for about fifteen thousand miles, I've already ordered new plugs, should be in tuesday, also my engine temperature never reaches normal operating temperature and has been doing that for at least a month now without a cel (just ordered a new tstat with the plugs), I've also recently replaced my fuel filter about a week before the di cassette. Finally, I'm also hearing the ticking sound at idle, along with the momentary surges of idle, that I've found to be the purge valve, I plan on trying the cleaning to prevent the 65 dollar part cost if possible. The car drives perfectly, or so it seems to. I hope this isn't another bad o2 sensor, thanks in advance everyone. Inspection comes up for me next month.
