T5 is the engine management system used on 9-3 in my1999 only (was on preceeding years of ng900). Easily identified by the red IDM.
T-7 uses black IDM for 9-5 amd my2000 - 2002 9-3.
MAP = mass air pressure sensor used for the T5 verus MAF (air flow) of T7.
All that means to me, T5 sensitive to air temp changes (cold dry = good).
TBTC = Throttle Body Transition Casting - connects intercooled air to TB.
Well, that's some of what i've learned on this great board, hope it's right!
