"3. Sell it to the junk yard (maybe $750)"
Wow! I wish I had your junkyards around here!
I was actually just in this scenario. I buy and sell cars and often part them out on eBay, but I had a '95 900SE with a dead engine, but perfect body and interior that we needed to offload quickly for space. The local junkyards wouldn't give more than $100-150 for it depending on which yard it was.
If it has good premium rims, you can at least try to sell those for a couple hundred. And the SID is often in demand on eBay if the display is in good working condition. The flex pipe is also a good money-maker if it's in good shape and not leaking. Windshield washer pump will sell if it works good.
Honestly, if it's already in your driveway and you don't absolutely "need" to get rid of it but don't want to spend the money to fix it, then part it out. Get what you can before having it hauled away to a junkyard.
That's my advice.
