What to do with an ECU? Ideas needed!

Hello All,
I have recently replaced my ECU. Now I have the old one sitting around and I am wondering if it could be useful anymore? It was replaced after the DIC went bad, the catalytic converter failed, some of the gunk from the cat sheared off the rear o2 sensor. After that, the (old) ECU never turned on the voltage to heat the o2 sensor. So I got a CEL (P0141, o2 sensor heater malfunction). After a lot of effort, the ECU wasa identified as the culprit.
So now I have an ECU ... what can I do with it? Perhaps it could be repaired? Used for performance tuning? Any other ideas? Or maybe its more trouble than it is worth? Please advise. Thanks!
