The correct bulb is a 9003 or H4 or HB2 bulb (they are all the same thing). The bulbs are available at your local autoparts store or through Internet sources like http://www.autolamps-online.com (the Philips Premium and Vison Plus bulbs are great).
Replacing the burned out bulb is easy.
With the engine and headlight off, open the hood. Working from the rear of the headlight:
1) Twist to remove the black plastic headlight lamp cover.
2) Unplug the three wire connector from the back of the headlight bulb.
3) Carefully release the bulb retaining wire bail by pushing in toward the front of the car and then pushing left toward the passanger side of the car (except if UK of course). The wire bail will just hinge out of the way.
4) The bulb will now pull straight out toward back of the car.
5) When installing a new bulb, DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS. If you accidently touch the glass, clean it thoroughly with alcohol. Be sure to seat the three metal tabs in the correct slots. The bulb will only seat properly in one orientation.
6) Relatch the wire bail, reinstall the bulb wiring connector, and reinstall the black plastic cover.
7) Turn on headlights and check that the new bulb lights properly. Using a garage door or similar vertical surface, verify that the headlight aim is correct. If the headlight aim is not correct, then the bulb is not properly orientated or seated. Try again.
It is really very easy once you have practiced one or two times.
