Intermittent Starting Problem

I have a '97 900S Convertible, non-turbo. I've had an intermittent starting problem the past couple of weeks. My "check engine" and "check gearbox" light came on today and the car stalled & would not start right away. Eventually, about an hour later, I tried it again & started right up. The warning lights are still on. When the car starts it seems to be running OK.
I am pretty sure the problem is electrical in nature. When the car wasn't starting, I also could not get the electric windows to operate even though the switch was in the "on" position. Also, I had the key in the ignition and the driver's side door open, but the chime (alerting you to not leave your key in the ignition)was not working. As I said, though, the starter operated and cranked fine. Later, when I tried it again and it started, I noticed that the door chime worked, and my windows operated also.
My "check engine" & "check gearbox" light came on about a month ago, and I had it checked at the dealer. They cleared the codes which were #P1624 (check engine request" and #P0741 (Lock up Malfunction) and P1500 (Battery Voltage too high or too low). After clearing the codes they test drove the car with no issues and no codes came on again. Today is the first time I got the warning lights again.
Please help on possible causes and troubleshooting!
