I searched the fourm and didn't find a post that had an answer for this strange failure. 2000 9.3 SE. Replaced both headlights because it appeared that the left was out on low beam and the right was out on high. After I replaced the bulbs and turned on the key the "head light failure" notice was gone. I got out and check and had both lights working on low beam. I then tried to go to high beam and didn't get the high beam indicator nor did it appear to change to high beam (although this was daylight and hard to tell) I then got the "head light failure" message. I checked and now the left head light is out. I got in and turned off the key and then turned it back on. The left head light is working again. I was able to repeat the failure by trying to turn on the high beams. I was able to pull the high beam relay and the headlight relay out and reseat them. I didn't have any tools to help remove the low beam reley. Has anyone had this failure or does anyone know the problem source. Thanks for your help.
