P0300 and now P0340 Posted by keith [Email] (#1462) [Profile/Gallery] (more from keith) on Fri, 25 Aug 2006 09:49:16 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hello. '99 9-3 with 90k miles. Ever since I replaced my DI I have been getting the check engine light coming on with the code p0300. At the same time as the DI change I replaced the Vac line, emissions valve, and plugs (BCPR6ES-11). Originally I had reversed the Emission valve. Corrected that, but still got the code. I again change the vac lines with large inner diameter lines, because the inner diameter of the ones I had put in were smaller then the ones I had taken out (new one is more similar to old lines) (both replacment one were with generic vac lines.) But still got the error. I checked the plugs and they look fine. Reciently the check light has started to blink on occasion during acceleration (stops after 5 seconds or so). I just took it back to Autozone and an additional code has popped up in addition to the P0300. It is P0340 (camshaft position sensor). From the post, it seems that 9-3 do not have one, since it has a DI. Is this true and does this mean that my new DI is bad?
Thanks
keith
