It started about 4 months ago. I had hard time to start my engine in the morning due to an unknown source that drains my battery (voltage dropped to 9 volt over night). I needed to use a booster to start the car ounce a while. I decided to unhook my battery when I went on a 10 days vacation two months ago hoping this would reset the system and it did. The car started strong without the help of booster since I returned from my vacation up till last Sunday. I need to use my booster again to start in the morning. The only difference now is that the voltage stays around 12.7 volts overnight. I also hear a weird noise that sounds like some sort of gate being opened when I turn the ignition to "on" and a continuous clunking noise comes from the engine bay near the passenger side after I start the engine. The car runs fine and strong except it knocks when it accelerates. I can smell some gas when I idle the car and there is some oil seepage around the engine block. I had 60k maintenance done by local SAAB indy, DIC replaced a year ago, and new spark plugs popped in 4 months ago. There’s no faulty code returns from the code reader. Would anybody who has the similar experience or fixed the similar problem like to share? Thanks in advance.
