The Speedometer in my 1997 900 either:
a.Wont register at all and won't read anything
b. Will jump for a few seconds to what appears to be the right speed then quickly goes either back to zero or between 70-80mph and floats there. It seems to move up somewhat when I am accelerating, but not accurately.
The person at the saab place said that spedometers being broken could be the cable (which was the least expensive)or something in the transmission working improperly (upwards of $2000).
SINCE MY SPEEDOMETER SOMETIMES READS SOMETHING DOES THAT MEAN THE CABLE WORKS? AND TO FIX IT IT WOULD BE ~$2000? (in which case im just gonna get a nice GPS to tell my speed instead)Is it worth bringing it in to be looked at and getting billed for time?
Ron suggested that this was not how it works (going to the tranny), any other suggestions?
