Is there a way to "tighten up" a 9-3 convertible? Posted by Andrew [Email] (#1013) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Andrew) on Sat, 23 Dec 2006 17:04:13 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've driven two 9-3 convertibles, a sort of rough '02 with 31k and 16" wheels and a really clean '03 with 17k and 17" wheels... they're great to look at, have terrific power, have a great Saab interior, etc... but they sure do shake around a lot.
I've read about the Viggen Rescue Kit- it seems extraordinarily expensive. What about another kind of bushings and swaybars? Would putting a strut brace on help it?
What can you do to make a 9-3 convertible feel a little stiffer- more like a sedan? Besides, of course, grafting a hard top onto it!
Even for a convertible it seems a little shaky. It really does affect the handling.
Thanks!
Andrew
