Cars with that mileage may have several costly issues but proper maintenance as you've done should extend the life of the car to 200K or more.
We have 119K on a 2001 9-3 SE and we've had to replace things like the A/C compressor clutch, water pump, DI cassette, and now we have tranny leaks. Even so, the car's been great and we hope to keep it for many more miles.
As for the pricing, was the 900 Euros quotes for replacing just the power steering pump, for the 'next service' which I assume is a major service at 120K miles, or for both? Eeuroparts in the US has a power steering pump for your car for $180 USD plus a $75 core charge (refundable if you send them back the old pump).
