I live in Oregon and we have some pretty bad and unimproved roads. But it is not as bad as the North East US. I am originally from PA and know how terrible it can get there.
I bought my set of Ronal R7's through a special deal direct from Ronal. I think it was 125/wheel at the time. Another year later I decided I liked the looks of the Ronal LV and the BBS CH wheels better. After a few failed attempts on ebay I ended up with 2 used LV wheels and bought 2 new ones. The used ones were about 75 each and the new ones were about 150 each I believe. Also I ended up with 8" wide wheels to get the tire a little more square to the ground. I kept the R7's around for a set of track day tires.
I would keep your eyes on ebay and the various Saab sites and try to get a set used only if they are in very good condition. It is hard (and expensive) to try to recondition a wheel.
