Well, I finished it. The problem was that the o-ring was torn because it had gotten out of the groove part way around when my helper re-installed it.
I did the ball joint instead of the control arm but it was a hassle. I had a hard time getting stuff apart and back together. I broke the stud on the swaybar link, it was previously damaged from hitting something at some point.
The results are good though. Dry as a bone.
