Pulled power antenna mechanism Base 2001

I had to pull the power antenna motor mechanism from the rear fender of my Base 201 Five Door. Saab Part No. 50 35 951; no other external indentifying markings.
1. Does anyone know of an equivalent aftermarket part to Saab Part 50 30 951, and who might sell it? The Saab looks a lot like Harada power antenna replacements out on the web.
2. There is a ~1/4" clear plastic drain tube at the bottom of the mast drum on the Saab part that was impossible to pull off the bottom of the drum while it was in place. Does anyone know where this leads? The tube came loose from the other end while I was trying to wrench it off the drum.
This has been a frustrating experience. The mechanism functions properly except for the damaged mast. However, using a replacement mast from Eeuroparts (again) with this mechanism will not be possible because the sleave from the last mast is well and throroughly wedged, almost as if swedged, in. (When replaced the last time the replacement mast sleave had to be forced into the to mechanism tube.) Violent attempts to dislodge it with WD40, penetrating oil, vice grips and a hammer on the old mast remnant will not budge the sleave even though the remaining portion of mast slides easily within the sleave). So, an alternative antenna is needed. $300 for Eeuroparts aftermarket part seems over the top.
Reasonable suggestions cheerfully considered. Thanks.
