Hi!
Last year I was driving to another town and while on the highway' I decided (it was borring I suppose) to put the headlamp light switch on the far right position (I always leave it on the far left position and leave it there). The check engine and the gear box indicator came on (and stayed even with the light switch at the far left position). In town, the car was skipping the fist gear went for the 2nd gear (like the winter button was on). Unplugged the battery for the night but the next day, both warning was still there. Also when the hand brake was on, the radio went off! Had to press on the on button to make it play.

Back to my home town, I went to my indie, removed the range switch, looked at it and putted it back. He erased the fault code and the car was driving like a new one. Didn't told the mecanic about the light switch.

So I didn't touch that damm light switch since. Well, I have to admit it, I did touch it yesterday (couldn't resist the envy). You know what happened? You're rght! The check engine and the gear box warning indicator came on! The car skipped the first gear like last year. So I was thinking to go to the garage to erase the fault code but after the third time I started the car, both warning light were off and the car is driving very well now.

Does anybody knows what's happening!!

Is it the light switch, the hand brake, the radio or the ECU ?

Thanks!
