Your car does have very low milege for the year. But The water pump, is a rather common issues with these cars and a real expense to have changed. But is a normal replacment item. (what can you do?) Ive never had the air meter go in my car though I cant imagine that it would cost too much $$$$. But concerning the lower control arm..... Last november I was susprised when my mechanic told me I needed lower ball joints and that they were $280.00 apeice!! with further research I found that the lower control arm and lower balljoint need to be replaced as a unit. Because of the way the from suspension is set up, it is very hard (imposable) to serperate the lower ball joint form the lower control arm with out damaging the lower control arm. So that was the reason for the lower control arms being replaced. keep in mind that Ball Joints and other related items are "wear and tear" items and your car is now 7+/- years old. I would advise you to keep your saab, if it hasnt given you issues other than these normal wear and tear items. Also with my saab experience these cars benefit from being driven reguarly. Even in the winter it my do some good next year to take it out for a spin once-a-week. Good Luck and happy saabing!
