The inner driver isn't the whole inner CV joint. It's just the 'cup' that drives the tripod bearing.
On the right side of a non-Viggen, the inner driver has a long shaft that goes thru a carrier bearing (below the alternator) & into the tranny. On the left side, the inner driver is more normal & many people consider it to be part of the 'axle' assembly.
