HELP! My radio is stuck in the dash and I am not able to remove it.
The problem- I need to get the code from the dealership and they need the Serial number along with the VIN to get it. The radio will slide out a few inches, but gets stuck on something before it slides all the way out.
I have tried follwing DER's instructions by taking out the SID, the cupholder, and the bezel for the SID. But, the radio still will not come out. I have tried pulling it very forcefully, prying it with a flathead, etc... I even tried taking out the wood dash face, but two torx screws that hold it on are underneath the radio. I have also tried using a mirror and taking digital pictures behind the radio, all to no avail.
Any ideas- I have one number from the top of the radio, on an orange sticker that says Saab thats 7 numbers long. But, I think thats the part number, not the S/N.
Anyone have any ideas? Does anyone know where exactly the S/N is located on the factory radio? On the back, underneath, side, etc?
Thanks in advance!
