I used to own a 1995 9000 CSE scarab green. I tinted the windows limo in the back and 35% in the front. I would not recommend doing that again due to the fact that it doesn't transfer well going from VERY dark to barely tinted. I loved my tints except for a few things.
I also had a problem I had my tints done in (San Bruno, CA). They never bubbled peeled or cracked at all and were barely gaped at the top maybe 4mm. I had a problem with feeling like my car would get a lot hotter than it used to.
I want to get window tints on my new car. My new car is a 1998 900S 2.3l N/A Black Convertible with Light Leather Interior. Tints help your vehicle from attracting attention from thieves as well. I have but four problems.
1) I want to avoid excessive heat with the tints, maybe find great quality tints that help control the temperature transferring from outside to inside.
2) I want to get shades that will match better between the back, rear, and front windows.
3) I don't want the window tint to mess with the back window's defroster on my convertible. The window is glass so I'm not worried about its material but I am concerned with the longevity and performance of the defroster and tints alike.
4) I'm not sure how dark to go on a black convertible but to me the standard non tinted windows look just does not suit the sleek black paint.
