02 93 SE fluid leaking

122k, recent oil change with M1 0W-40. Car is leaking a fair amount of black fluid. From looking under the car, there is what looks like a button 2-3 feet back from the front on the passenger side where you can see the fluid drip. I checked the engine oil, and it reads full, and is not black since the oil is new.
What else can this be? What is that button looking thing anyway? I'd like to know what I am dealing with before taking it to the shop.
