In the old days, bleeding order was farthest to closest, within each diagonal circuit. That usually meant RR - LF - LR - RF.
Now it's all about the plumbing details and where the connections are made at the ABS modulator. It should be based on which tube is more likely to push air bubbles into which other tube. And that can change when they re-route the brake lines (T-5 vs. T-7).
Still, I think the consequences of doing it wrong are simply that you have to go around the sequence more than once before all the bubbles are gone.
