My wife has the car at a music event in WV (I'm back home in MN). She and some friends took it out for the day, stopping several times. It wouldn't restart when they stopped back at the campground. After trying for several minutes they got it going again, it's down to their campsite but now it won't start again. From her description over the phone, it sounds like it's turning over and not quite catching. It has 120k on it. I do all of the maint by the book and check it carefully before trips. The fuel filter has been replaced on time, the air filter is clean, the distributor, cap and rotor were replaced last year with one from EEuro when it got a sensor failure. It's been running PERFECTLY and normally starts very easily. New bosch platinum plugs last year. They MAY have pressed on the gas pedel once when they had trouble starting it. It rained hard last Saturday but hasn't since. It has 3/8 tank of gas, the same gas driven on for the last 280 miles.
I'm looking for ideas and perhaps a Saab capable mechanic in the Beckley WV area. So far I've told them to check the cap and coil wires and pull the cap off and look for moisture and/or oil.
Thanks for any suggestions...
