If it is not a Saab shop replacing the oil pressure switch, they might do it by removing the upper radiator hose and thermostat housing to reach it from above and if so, the thermostat and temp sensor is kind of right there.
Most of us remove the starter to get to the oil pressure switch so there is no need to remove any cooling hoses and such.
No, the oil pressure switch is not really for a DIY person to replace even though some have done it. For 1 hour of shop time, it is not really worth it to try to do yourself.
