I hear people saying hey you got the good year for the viggen, the pistons are way better. Why is this? My friend cracked his pistons on an 02' 9-5 Aero with a broken MAF, My MAF was also broken and we were both doing "adaption runs" and I never had an issue with my engine. BTW I since then have been educated on how take care of your MAF non oiled filters etc I also now use an AEM wide band O2 sensor and check that my milage is holding around 26-34 mpg its a good indicator that your MAF is going out.
But back to the point, why are 00' pistons better?
