Hi Vanessa....
I tend to agree with Sondeen's comments. Any old car is going to require regular repair and if you hire it out 500 to 1500 a year is to be expected.
If your alternative is to buy a different old car, I'd just repair the one you have and know.
If you do decide to replace it you should certainly be able to get more than $100 for your '95. That sounds like a dealer's offer. Craig's list rotinely has SAABs for 500-1000 that are "parts" cars.
