You won't know unless you try! My 96/900s has a slight seepage of coolant near the distributor side of the head. I use 1/2 bottle of "barsleaks" pellets and liquid to slow the problem until I decide to replace the head gasket. With the engine block being casted iron metal and the head aluminum, the thermal expansion of each metal are much different and eventually the head gasket will fail.
