I usually leave the headlight switch turned to the full right position... the headlights turn on when the ignition is on, and off when the key is off. A while back I jumped in to drive off, and the lights didn't come on... I turned the light switch one click to the left (parking lights on, with key off and out... headlights on when ignition on) and got headlights. The high-beams will come on if I hold the leaver back, but go back to low beams when I release. I drove around for a few weeks, thinking it's the switch. Today I got down to a wrecking yard, and picked up a switch, along with a couple of big orange relays. I installed the new (used) switch, and that seemed to cure the problem. But later tonight, the headlights were off again in the full right position. I had to resort to using the center position again... with no high-beams.
Got home and replaced the orange relay... still not functioning properly. What should I be looking at next?
