thanks Pete for your response. i realize this option but i was wanting to try to diagnose it myself and possibly do the fix. i was hoping for some guidance as to how to tell if the engine did seize or what could be the issue- with the symptoms i described. i thought it could be the head but shouldn't the engine still start with a bad head? also if the engine did stop, what options are available in terms of replacing/rebuilding or installing a different (less expensive) alternative. Thanks!
