This past weekend I swapped my T25 in my 99 9-3 for a self-rebuilt td04 15g. Intial impressions is that boost and engine seems stronger(which is a good thing). There are a few issues however. In 2nd full throttle boost went to about mid-yellow over and felt strong and solid. Tryed a 3rd gear pull full throttle and boost from APC and had strong strong boost then a buck then boost for a second and another buck and then I came off the gas. Happened on multiple pulls. Was this fuel cut off? Was this adaption? It no longer does this but has less boost, its not a kick in but anymore. Or is this more likely a leak issue from turbine to intercooler or from BPC to wastegate etc? I also had to fabricate an intake from box(with K&N and 3") with rubber plumming pipe and pvc till I can get silicone and aluminum. (Does anyone know if I can fit 3" from box to 2" adaptor on the intake of the turbo?) Also since it is a cutsom Lowes intake I can't run the crankcase vetn pipe? Has anyone fabricated a catch can for it as I believe it is also spitting oil. I also can't run the return from the BPC? Issue is not a vacuum and it already was recurculating.
Thanks for any input!
