Clutch Alignment Tool Posted by hgilbert [Email] (#189) [Profile/Gallery] (more from hgilbert) on Sun, 13 Mar 2011 15:27:01 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a 96 900 se turbo. I have her torn down for a clutch replacement, and was wondering why the end of the alignment tool wasn't the same dianeter, or close to the same diameter, of the trans input shaft. Initially, I thought that I may have the wrong alignment tool, but now I'm beginning to wonder. The tool that I have is marked GM6. If this is the correct tool, how should I ensure that the clutch disc is properly centered before tightening the bolts. I'm working alone, and have read about how important it is to have the disc properly centered. Any input is greatly appreciated.
