I am in the process of topping off the tranny oil on my 2000 9-3 SE. I noticed a slow tranny leak a couple months ago and the car has been getting harder and harder to shift since then.
So today I pulled off the "Level Plug" and a fair amount of fluid came out (Maybe 1/2 quart?). This was something that I did not expect at all.
I changed the tranny oil about 20,000 miles ago and am about 90% sure that I did not overfill it then. I filled it with Redline MTF.
Where did this excess fluid come from?
If my fluid level is fine, why is shifting becoming increasingly difficult?
