Lug nuts siezing

I have SAAB aluminum wheels on my 99 9,3. I find that the lug nuts are siezing even after careful torque wrench application (86 ft lbs). It needs a serious breaker bar application to free them.
On close inspection with a glass, it is obvious that the bearing area on the taper is no more than 1/8 inch wide which probably means excessive contact pressure in that small area.
Questions:
If I am not getting a full bearing area, should I replace the bolts?
Could I improve the situation with a clean-up of the taper areas of the bolts?
I have read on this site that the bolts should NOT be lubricated because this has the potential of increasing the torque applied and might distort the bolts/threads etc.
Any advise would be appreciated.
