1301 engine code

2001 93 base model. Filled gas tank drove 20 highway miles the CEL came on, checked gas cap, drove 40 more miles, seemed ok. Pep Boys read code 1301. Drove 6miles around town the next day with CEL still on. Next day CEL not on,have driven 25 mixed miles since, still no CEL. Any ideas.
