Given these extra facts you present, perhaps before pulling the pan to check for sludge, you should have the oil pressure sensor and circuitry checked to make sure it is working properly. Likely a less expensive check than pulling the oil pan off.
Coolant/water in the oil will make the oil look like a chocolate milk shake, it won't cause oil sludge to form, or effect oil pressure.
