If the coolant level after fitting the new rad is not dropping or requires topping up and there are no obvious external coolant leaks, then leave things as they are. If you do start loosing coolant again, then retorque the head bolts and that should suffice.
I bought my 93 a few years ago with a coolant loss problem and a slight oil leak from the front right side corner of the head. The previous owner had been quoted a ridiculously high price for new head gasket job by the Dealer and decided to sell. Knowing better and at a risk, I offered him peanuts and got myself a real bargain. Next day, got a new rocker cover gasket and retorqued the head bolts (which were rather loose!) and hey presto......car has been good as rain ever since, no coolant loss or oil leaks!
