Hi everyone,
99 9-3 Convertible (2.0 turbo)
A rather routine head gasket replacement has become nasty since the left timing chain guide was broken at the top (sadly, by me during the removal of the head). I didn't have too many problems getting the timing cover off with the motor in-place, and have the balance chain removed, but darn if I can figure out how to get the left guide off the peg it sits on. The main balance chain drive gear gets in the way of the removal. I can't seem to find any information on getting it to come out - if it comes out...any suggestions for removing this timing chain guide?
Thanks all!
