Not sure on the '02, but I've had several vac leaks. None turned out to be the booster thing. Instead, all the lines in the engine compartment. I'd check ALL of those, and make sure some are not blown clean off. Also, replace any that are looking shabby. I think there are some vac line diagrams floating about the forum here. Maybe find one for your year.
Remember vac line is theoretically simple problem to find. You just have to use soap water, your ears, etc. to figure it out.
