1999 Saab -3 base auto with 191K miles.

10 days ago the upper radiator hose disconnected when a section of the connector pipe on the radiator broke off, (a ring of material under the hose clamp). I fished out the broken connector pieces (which are brittle) & was able to reattach the hose to what was left of the connector. Engine seems fine, the hose seems to be holding and coolant level (now mostly distilled water) & temp are holding steady.

Anyone else heard of a radiator breaking in this manner? Any reason that it will not hold or more of the connector will break off? Do I need to replace the radiator (any idea how many hours of labor).
