I guess you haven't read all the frustration of broken A/C selector shaft on the MCC cars.
Not it is not as easy as to just plunk in the MMC control panel since you need to remove electric motors and install levers and cable for the heat control and shaft for the selector drum and change out the fan resistor to name a few things that comes to mind. I guess the biggest obstacle would be to replace the main wire harness running through the dash board and engine compartment to change from ACC to MCC configuration.
