fine for a car you drive daily that needs to be reliable. You need to be thinking more on the order of "D Plan." This car has very little value and you couldn't buy anything better or probably even as good for the money you'd get selling it. If you're thinking of putting money with it and getting something better than by all means sell it now while it's still drive-able. It would make a good cheap car for someone. If you just want a spare car on the cheap, keep it. You just need to change your thinking. Most of what you listed doesn't have to be fixed immediately (or ever). In this phase you only fix things when it absolutely has to be fixed (join AAA) and then you do it as cheaply as possible. If you can fix something with duct tape and bailing wire, do so. Get used parts from a wrecking yard. If something leaks, just keep it filled. My son had a 9000 that leaked a quart of trans oil a week--he kept it topped off and drove it that way for 85,000 (from 140K on) miles. Think "Top Gear" road trip with some of the heaps they buy. It's actually pretty amazing how long a car will keep going with minimal work.
