I have been doing alot of reading on the ghostly P0442 code issues, and i fixed mine, so i thought i would share.
Long story short, i checked all my vacuum lines, found some of the hard plastic ones to the brake booster that had small holes from the engine cover rubbing on it, fixed those and still a code. But when i went to change my tires, i looked at the gas breather line and found that the bilstein shocks i installed (that have a dust shield on them)rubbed against the hose and created a hole, fixed that and the code is now gone!
best of luck to anyone with this code, took me 2 months to finally stumble on the issue.
