1998 NG 900 Rear Window Issue

I have a 1998 900SE turbo 5dr and my son put down the rear right window and when it was coming down the top of the window was not coming down level. They got it back up but it would get high on one side and then teeter the other way like it was loose in the track. Does this mean I have a track issue or need a regulator replacement. Thanks for any help from folks that have been there done that.
