1) You'd need to check the colors on your springs and match them. Saab never matched colors to models in any kind of chart. Turbos were rumored to be lower. Convertibles got slightly stiffer rear springs to help with the shifted roof load. But, there are no known charts.
Replacement springs are now only available in one designation (if that, for an NG900... and they'd be way to expensive). Aftermarket is similar - somoe sort of average.
2)Konis with stock springs is a nice ride, similar to stock, but controlled. Upgrade your rear bar too, might not be so great without that. Upgraded (lowered) springs will be a much nicer handling upgrade at the price of a little stiffness.
3) 9-3 (Viggen) front springs are different. It's possible to convert, but it is more work: http://photo.platonoff.com/Auto/20070511.Saab_NG900_Eibach_Springs_From_a_9-3/
Going to the 9-3 setup would allow you to use Eibach, which I prefer. Some lke Koni springs. There are other brands available too. I think the NG900 is down to just Koni now.
The Viggen stuff would have to be sourced used... unless you want to pay through the nose.
