Hmm, when you cleaned the rockers did you get as much of the burned/charred carbon deposits off as you could? I think the 2nd detent for auto down has 2 contacts it has to touch; when you had it apart it should've been apparent which contacts those were; the rear window down switches don't have those extra contacts, of course.
If it's not because of the carbon build up, it must be in the electronics inside the rest of the switch...bummer :( Wonder if BBA Reman does those.....?
